Easter & Holy Week

Palm Sunday TO Easter

Palm Sunday

April 13
10:00 - 11:30AM

A procession of palm branches as a symbol of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem and reading of the Gospel accounts.

Palm Sunday commemorates Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, where crowds welcomed Him by waving palm branches and laying them on His path. It's also significant because it fulfills a prophecy in the Old Testament and sets the stage for Jesus' final week of ministry leading up to His crucifixion and resurrection. Palm Sunday is celebrated on the Sunday before Easter and marks the beginning of Holy Week.

Maundy Thursday

April 17
6:30 - 7:30 PM

Includes Passover meal elements, prayer stations with (optional) foot-washing, and Communion.

Maundy Thursday commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with his disciples. The word "Maundy" comes from the Latin "mandatum," meaning commandment, and refers to the new commandment that Jesus gave to his disciples to love one another as He had loved them. It is a time to remember the love, sacrifice, and servant heart of Jesus, and to renew our commitment to following in His footsteps.

GOOD FRIDAY

April 18
6:30 - 7:30 PM

Service of Darkness

A solemn and reflective service that focuses on the suffering and death of Jesus. During the service, candles are gradually extinguished, and the church becomes progressively darker, symbolizing the darkness that fell over the earth when Jesus died on the cross. It is a time for contemplation, repentance, and prayer as we prepare for the joy of Easter Sunday and the celebration of the resurrection.

Easter Sunday

April 20
10:00 - 11:30AM

Celebrate Jesus' World-Changing Resurrection

Easter is our most significant holiday as it celebrates the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. We believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose again on the third day, defeating death and sin and offering eternal life to those who believe in Him. Easter is a time of joy, hope, and renewed faith as Christians across the world celebrate the victory of Christ over death and the promise of new life in Him.

KIDS Easter Sunday

April 20
10:00 - 11:45AM

Special kids service and parent supervised Easter egg hunt immediately after service.

For many kids, the story of Easter seems to follow very quickly behind the story of Christmas. This can make it difficult for kids to process what happened between Jesus being born, and Jesus dying and rising again.

For Kids Easter we setup a series of interactive stations where kids learn about and reflect on critical moments in Jesus' life leading up to Easter. Whether kids are deep in their faith journey, or this is their first visit to church, children will walk away with a deeper understanding of Jesus and his resurrection.

Parents will be asked to come pick up and join their kids for an Easter egg hunt immediately after service.
