About This Role
The Media Director will provide leadership and technical expertise for all church audio/video, sound, media, video, and stage lighting. They will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the church's media and communications efforts to support the church's mission.
Primary Responsibilities and Tasks
- Oversee audio/video technical and creative development, production, and training related to the live production and audio/visual needs of the church.
- Provide technical support and team leadership for sound, media, video, and stage lighting for services and events.
- Ensure high quality and limit distractions during A/V implementation for services and events.
- Recruit, train, lead, and develop a team of volunteers to assist with A/V and production.
- Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing media technology in worship services.
- Maintain and purchase A/V equipment within the provided budget.
- Record video and audio of worship services for online broadcast.

- Skilled in creating and mixing quality sound in medium-sized venues. Can teach volunteers to create a quality mix in our Worship Center.
- Comfortable and proficient in working with various audio, video, media, and lighting equipment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Proficient in Presonus Digital Mixing, VMix, ProPresentor, and Final Cut Pro or another video editor, and can coach and train volunteers on these platforms.
- Able to work in a rapidly changing environment with multiple priorities.
This position reports to the Senior Pastor.
Weekly Tasks
- Schedule the Media Team using Fluro.
- Enter or oversee the entering of all Sunday media. (Song lyrics, Sermon notes, videos.)
- Test all media systems weekly. Apply software updates as appropriate.
- Arrive by 7:30 a.m. Sunday morning to test systems and troubleshoot as needed, so Media and Worship volunteers can practice by 8:00 am without technical hindrances.
- Prepare or oversee the preparation and upload of sermon videos, Shorts, and Reels.

- Demonstrate a Christ-like attitude through all interactions with the congregation, staff, and volunteers.
- Fully participate in the church's life through worshiping, connecting, and serving.
- Abide by the “Columbia Grove Staff Handbook.”
