Sardis: The Dying Church

Today’s message, “Sardis: The Dying Church,” examines Jesus’ warning to the church in Sardis in Revelation 3:1–6. A church can appear active and healthy on the outside while becoming spiritually lifeless within. The message identifies four marks of a spiritually healthy church: valuing service over status, obedience over performance, grace over legalism, and security over fear.

The central warning is simple: complacency can be deadly. Yet Sardis is also a message of hope. The God who brings life out of death still calls His people to wake up, strengthen what remains, and faithfully follow Him.
